Greg Dickinson is an innovator, researcher, educator, consultant and framework architect whose work has focused on helping people understand how systems work so they can better direct their effort and talent toward what matters most.
Over his 30-year career at Deloitte, Greg worked with consultants, clients, and senior executives to improve how organizations think about strategy, performance, value creation, and execution. His work contributed to the development and application of several of Deloitte’s most recognized intellectual property platforms and thought leadership franchises, including the Enterprise Value Map™, Sustainable Value Map™, and CFO Signals™.
In his role with Deloitte’s Global Sustainability & Climate practice, Greg helped shape the firm’s approach to sustainable value creation and led the development and deployment of Deloitte's Sustainable Value Map™ and related approaches. Prior to that, he helped build and lead the Deloitte's CFO Program, where he conceived, launched, and led the firm's flagship CFO Signals™ survey—establishing it as a source of insights used by business leaders, policymakers, and the media.
Earlier, as architect of the Enterprise Value Map™ and co-founder of Deloitte’s Value Initiative, Greg helped organizations focus, align, and execute their most important improvement efforts. He worked extensively with companies, non-profits, and business schools to apply value-based frameworks to decision-making, performance management, and leadership development.
In parallel with his professional work, Greg founded EducationMap, where he led the development of the Education Performance Map™, a cause-and-effect framework designed with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to help coordinate efforts to improve education outcomes at the family, school, district, and state levels. Most recently he has developed the Personal Wealth Map™, a framework showing how people can use their resources to build their personal wealth and financial security.
Greg’s work has been featured in major media including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNBC, CFO Magazine, NPR, Fortune, Forbes, and Bloomberg, and he has been a guest lecturer at leading MBA programs including Berkeley Haas, Virginia Darden, Duke Fuqua, and UCLA Anderson.
Following his retirement from Deloitte, Greg continues to develop and share practical frameworks and training through InsightMaps, with a focus on financial literacy, sustainable value creation, education system performance, and the development of a new generation of business leaders.
Greg holds an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Finance from UCLA/Anderson and a B.S. in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from the University of California, San Diego.
